FURNITURE DESIGNER, DAMIAN VELASQUEZ, WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE
PRESTIGIOUS AMERICAN CRAFT COUNCIL BALTIMORE SHOW IN FEBRUARY 2007.
Albuquerque,
New Mexico – Damian Velasquez, award-winning furniture designer
and craftsman, has been invited to participate in the prestigious American
Craft Council Baltimore Show (ACC Baltimore Show). The largest juried,
indoor fine craft show in the country, the 2007 Baltimore Show will
feature the work of more than 700 of America's top craft artists. The
ACC Baltimore will be held at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore,
Maryland beginning Friday, February 23, 2007 until Sunday February
25, 2007. The Council's flagship show is a must-attend event
for the public. This is a highly competitive and prestigious
show attracting artists throughout the U.S. Show information

by appointment at his Albuquerque studio -- 3212 Stanford Drive NE
in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Velasquez designs and handcrafts modern
furniture using brushed steel and dyed wood. He
will be previewing new designs at the ACC Baltimore show featuring
the innovative use of felt in his furniture designs.
Velasquez has
been designing and building furniture for almost eighteen years and
has won many craftsmanship awards for his work. Two of
his pieces, “Ling Chest” and “Don’t Fall Down” dresser
are part of the permanent collection of the National Hispanic Cultural
Center located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
